Subra Nagappan
Trauma-informed somatic and spiritual guidance, and earth-based ceremonial work
I support individuals on their path of healing, integration, and spiritual growth through a blend of somatic and spiritual guidance, trauma-informed care, and earth-based ceremonial practice. My approach is both spiritual and therapeutic—inviting a return to wholeness through presence, emotional attunement, and body-based awareness.
Somatic work invites us to listen to the intelligence of the body as a gateway to deeper emotional regulation, insight, and transformation. By including the body in the healing process, we are able to access and shift patterns that words alone often cannot reach.
I serve as a spiritual minister of a non-denominational, earth-honoring spiritual community. Through this calling, I offer sacred ritual and ceremony within a trauma-informed, ethically grounded, and culturally attuned framework. This work honors the sanctity of deeply open states of being and the many pathways through which we can experience profound healing, awakening, and connection to the divine—however one personally understands or experiences it.
My work is shaped by my Tamil and Indian Hindu heritage, my upbringing in Malaysia, and a lifelong immersion in Hinduism, Buddhism, Indigenous traditions, and non-dual spiritual practices. I also draw on Integral theory and Western psychotherapeutic modalities to offer a multidimensional approach to healing and consciousness.
After a career in software engineering, I was called to this path through my own transformative healing journey. Today, I bring together modalities such as Hakomi-based somatic psychology, Somatic Experiencing, inner-child healing, attachment theory, parts work, kundalini-inspired yoga, mindfulness, energy work, polarity dynamics, breathwork, and bodywork. My work focuses on core wound healing, deep self-discovery, and reconnection with the sacred—while honoring the interplay of identity, culture, and spirit.
With years of dedicated spiritual practice and active engagement in queer and POC communities, I strive to create inclusive, grounded spaces where people can explore worthiness, integrate profound experiences, and awaken to their deepest essence.
While my work often touches the same depth as clinical therapy, it is not psychotherapy or medical treatment. I do not diagnose, label, or pathologize. Instead, I meet each person as inherently whole — a living expression of consciousness already complete at the core. My role is not to fix or treat, but to help you access and integrate the emotional energy, trauma imprints, and core material that may have been held in the body or psyche. This process allows that energy to flow again, bringing coherence and vitality to the system.
In this way, many find the work more liberating than therapy: it honors the soul as much as the psyche, supporting deep transformation without reducing human experience to a disorder or a diagnosis. I hold space for what is sacred and innate within you to reawaken, so that you may remember who you are beneath the layers of adaptation and story. From this place of restored wholeness, you begin to live and relate differently — meeting the world, other people, and the environment from a grounded sense of connection, compassion, and authenticity. Life itself becomes a field of sacred relationship, where the divine can be felt and expressed through every breath, every interaction, and every act of presence.
I offer trauma-informed somatic and spiritual guidance sessions, ritual-based ceremonial work, and integration support. Sessions are available in person in the Bay Area or over Zoom. I am also available to travel for in-person ceremonial work within the Bay Area and beyond.
If you’re curious about working together, I invite you to reach out and schedule a discovery call.

Testimonials:
The best way I can describe what it’s like to work with Subra is deep and allowing. Subra has a profoundly open presence which creates a gentle, loving container in which I feel completely allowed and accepted in any state of being. The quality of Subra’s presence as deeply unconditional and full of love, is powerfully healing and allows me to be vulnerable with ease. I leave sessions having moved deep inner content that I would have not been able to connect with without such a container and skilled facilitation. In this sense the sessions, although organic, are very purposeful and get down to the truth of your experience. For those looking for a space in which to work and heal without beating around the bush, Subra is a truly outstanding practitioner.

Subra stepped into his mastery…he was in full command from a loving and directive space which I felt comfortable with. The whole room changed into an initiation around feminine being held and seen with masculine presence….it was palpable and powerful and hugely healing. Subra was a beautiful, safe, strong, loving presence…..I’ve never experienced anything like this. I loved it!
– Jill
This was one of the most important journeys I’ve ever experienced. I don’t think it would have been possible with anyone but Subra. His living manifestation of the Divine Child was the secret sauce.
– Jeff
Magically, Subra held a space that let me trust and surrender on the medicine.
-Mick
Subra is so open and innocent that I always feel the deep trust I have for him and how he is able to hold me without judgment. I feel strongly that Subra is a living masterclass as he moves smoothly between inviting me to go deeper into a topic or experience I am avoiding as well as holding me when the discovery is too challenging.
– David
Subra is very gifted and talented at this work. this seems to be a natural authentic calling for him. most impactful –his presence, space, how he held space, his wisdom, openness, flexibility with what is arising, where someone goes, his experience and ability to hold states and content, non defensive — inviting, welcoming everything.
